About the Organisers

Agile Cambridge is run by a small team, based in Cambridge and working remotely across the UK, who have been organising practitioner conferences for over twenty years. Here's who we are and how we work.

Who we are

Agile Cambridge is organised by Software Acumen, a small team of specialist software events organisers based in Cambridge since 2004. Over two decades of running practical, community-centred conferences have made us one of the UK's leading specialist software events organisers.

We run conferences across the UK covering agile and lean practice, user experience and service design, all CPD accredited, and all built around the same idea: practitioners sharing real-world experience with each other. Agile Cambridge, now in its 15th edition, is where it began.

Our philosophy

Our ethos is to run great events, not big ones, practitioner-focused, with active participation as a key ingredient. Events small enough that you can actually talk to the speakers, and big enough to bring together a genuine cross-section of the community.

We pride ourselves on being user focused, designing and then refining every event so participants want to come back year after year. Many do, returning participants are a fixture of every conference we run, and feedback shapes each edition. As technology and ways of working change, so do our events, each edition is redesigned around what practitioners are actually working through now.

We work to provide a safe and supportive environment where everyone can contribute, share their perspective and offer their ideas, backed by our Code of Conduct.

Quality and value for money matter to us, but just as important is that everyone involved, participants, speakers, sponsors and volunteers, has the opportunity to achieve their goals in joining us.
