About the session
Theme: Collaboration | People
We all bring strengths to our work, and those same strengths can become stumbling blocks when overused or out of balance. Agile teams spend a lot of time improving processes, methods and tools, but when things go wrong they rarely follow the plan. They fall back on habits.
In this interactive workshop, teams tackle a fast-paced “impossible mission” where they must solve a fictional crisis using only a limited set of strengths. Midway through, conditions change and teams must adapt without adding new capabilities, revealing how the same qualities that drive progress can become derailers under pressure.
By working within tight constraints, participants see how teams actually respond when plans break, pressure rises and real decisions need to be made.
Participant takeaways:
- First-hand experience of how strengths show up when teams work under pressure
- Insight into how constraints shape team decisions and behaviour
- Awareness of how strengths can tip into overuse when pressure rises
