About the session

Theme: Collaboration | People

Here's a paradox: we live in a time where we have access to more information than ever before, yet there is more uncertainty about our future. And in that gap between knowing and not knowing lives fear.

Our instincts when fear shows up are to get defensive, avoid the difficult situation, or not take action. These responses prevent us from building our capacity to navigate challenges.

This workshop introduces the Minimum Viable Exposure (MVE) framework: a practical approach to training your relationship with fear by deliberately seeking small, manageable exposures to what scares you.

You'll learn how to identify which fears point toward growth, design exposures that build capability without burning out, and use constraints as training grounds rather than obstacles.

You'll leave with a method for turning fear into your compass for growth.

Participant takeaways:

  • A framework for distinguishing growth-directing fear from genuine danger - understanding when fear signals you're at your edge versus when it signals actual risk
  • A method for designing minimum viable exposures - a practical template for breaking fear-inducing situations into progressive, manageable steps in your specific context
  • Understanding that confidence comes from repeatedly managing fear, not waiting to feel ready
  • A personal MVE plan you’ve designed during the session with 3 to 5 progressive exposure steps for a real situation you’re facing, with your first action identified
  • The insight that fear is information - reframing fear from obstacle to compass, pointing towards where growth lives
