About the session
Theme: Agile in Practice
How can you make the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) actually work?
Join Louise for a practitioner-first look at what SAFe is, from the inside out.
Louise is a SAFe sceptic, a certified SAFe 6.0 Agilist, and has been part of several SAFe delivery programmes in different enterprise organisations.
She will be discussing experiences, anecdotes, and critiques that challenge the conventional wisdom surrounding this well-marketed, and not-so-well implemented agile framework.
Louise will have a focus on real world feedback from organisations and practitioners, and will cover the common pitfalls that many organisations encounter when implementing SAFe, including issues with delivery speed, product demand satisfaction, and adaptive architectures.
Louise will also share hints and tips on how to survive and do great work if you find yourself within a SAFe environment.
And don't worry, you won't just be left with the challenges!
There’ll be a balanced exploration of SAFe, offering alternative strategies and insights that can lead to more effective agile practices. Whether you're a SAFe advocate, or a SAFe sceptic like Louise, you'll go back to work with some new ideas on how to shape agility at the enterprise level.
Louise is aiming to challenge assumptions and inspire new ways of working, and she needs your help.
