About the session

The world is more competitive than ever. Since the rise of social media, we’ve lived in a popularity contest, comparing our messy realities to everyone else's curated highlights on a minute-by-minute basis. At home, we’re constantly "doing the work" to patch ourselves up. At work, our weaknesses are highlighted and we’re ranked against each other. Now, with the rise of the bots, we’re under even more pressure to differentiate ourselves. We feel inadequate.

At the same time, we’re all wired differently. Our strengths shape how we see the world and what we expect from others, which is often where friction begins. In the context of constant change, uncertainty, and remote working, that friction is harder to navigate and team cohesion can start to suffer.

Jenny is going to draw on positive psychology and strengths-based research to explore how getting to know ourselves and each other better provides a foundation for individual wellbeing, performance, and team happiness.

She'll share the evidence behind why we don’t need well-rounded individuals; we need well-rounded teams. By knowing me and knowing you, we build the empathy and safety that technology can’t replicate, and make better use of what makes us human - and indispensable.

Ahaaa!
