About the session
Note: this session runs for 120 minutes + 30 minutes for afternoon break.
Tech Ethics is a topic rapidly increasing in prominence, but what does it mean in practice for agile teams?
The Horizon Post Office scandal highlighted the critical importance of ethical practice and oversight in technology development and deployment, at every level in an organisation.
Furthermore, while accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence brings huge opportunities, a rush to deliver AI features to the market further amplifies the risk of harm to people’s fundamental rights.
This workshop is for everyone interested in collaboratively exploring how tech ethics can look in practice in an agile development environment. In this session, you will hear from a panel of expert speakers, and then apply ethical principles to co-create practical approaches for ethical, responsible agile development.
Participant takeaways:
- A comprehensive overview of ethical considerations for technology development and deployment
- An overview of emerging Artificial Intelligence regulation
- Ability to identify ethical risks, and consider appropriate ways to manage and mitigate them
- Understanding of how to put tech ethics into practice in your agile environment
