About the session

How do we take all of our product ideas and decide what to deliver?

We talk.

But conversations can be messy and unstructured, and business rules can be complicated. Misunderstandings happen. How do we know that we all share the same interpretation of what’s being discussed?

User-Story Mapping and Example Mapping are two visual techniques that help capture conversations, share a picture, and really understand what you want to build. And they work exceptionally well together!

In this workshop we will share our knowledge of User-Story and Example Mapping with you through the complementary lenses of both Product and Engineering. Split into two interactive group exercises, we’ll build your confidence in using the techniques, and practice them together.

With Hats.

Participant takeaways:

  • An introduction to at least one of the User Story Mapping and/or Example Mapping techniques
  • An understanding of the challenges they can help to address in Product Teams.
  • An appreciation of how they fit together and complement each other.
  • The confidence to introduce and try each of these in the participants' own settings after the conference.
