About the session
In 2017, there were zero commercial aviation disasters. This is despite the fact that planes fly at 600mph at a height of 40,000ft and are full of explosive fuel.
In this session, we’ll trace the origins of aviation safety from its beginnings in the 1940s through to the modern day. We’ll identify the key characteristics that have created a safety-first culture.
